Privacy Policy — PLC Media App

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Purposeful Living Church ("the Church", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use the PLC Media App ("the App"), the official mobile app of Purposeful Living Church. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Information We Collect

We collect only what's needed to make the App work well for you:

Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from your Google account, so you can save content, comment, and follow items you care about.
User-submitted content. Prayer requests, testimonies, comments, likes and follows you choose to submit or perform inside the App.
Device information. A device identifier and push-notification token, used only to deliver notifications (such as "now playing" alerts) to your device.
Usage & diagnostic data. Basic technical information such as app version and crash/error logs, used to keep the App stable.

We do not collect payment card numbers, bank credentials, or mobile money PINs through the App — see Giving & Donations below.

How We Use Information

Information we collect is used to:

Operate core features — streaming, playback, saved content, comments and follows.
Personalise your experience, such as remembering what you've saved or liked.
Send you relevant push notifications, if enabled.
Review and respond to prayer requests and testimonies submitted through the App.
Maintain the security, stability and performance of the App.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Push Notifications

The App can send push notifications for things like live broadcast alerts and playback controls. You can disable notifications at any time from your device's system settings. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the rest of the App.

Data Storage & Security

App data is stored using Supabase, a secure backend platform, with access controls (Row Level Security) restricting who can read or write which records. Data in transit is encrypted. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

The App relies on a small number of trusted third-party services to function:

Google Sign-In, for authentication.
YouTube, to display Live TV and video content.
Our streaming provider, to deliver the live Purpose FM radio broadcast inside the App.

Each of these services has its own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review them.

Giving & Donations

The Give section of the App displays bank account and mobile money details so you can send a gift directly through your own banking or mobile money app. The App itself does not process payments, and does not collect or store your card details, bank login credentials, or mobile money PIN. Any transaction you make is between you and your bank or mobile money provider, governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

Retention & Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's features. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us using the details below; we will action verified requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal retention obligations.

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of your information.
Withdraw consent to notifications or data processing at any time.

We will never ask for your bank PIN, mobile money PIN, or full card number inside the App or by email. If you ever receive such a request claiming to be from us, please do not respond and contact us directly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or our practices. We will update the "Last updated" date above whenever changes are made, and significant changes may be communicated within the App.
